Ólmod is a border Croatian sack village with an inimitable atmosphere, silence, peace, part of the Nature park. Those who come here get closer to the cultural treasures of the Croats by visiting the local museum and gallery, and to the values of nature by exploring the Deer- Fountain (Őz-kút).

1. The Belovich Chapel GPS: 47.402213 / 16.592406
The small chapel on Grape Hill is a popular destination for those who wishing to hike. The chapel has significant Baroque style features. The former Grape Hill with its living memorial site can become a popular excursion point. The building is a monument. The chapel was given to the village by the Belovich family, which was built in 1724 on the former grape hill.
2. Őzkút (Roe deer Well) GPS: 47.399493 / 16.583155
It ’s an excursion place deep in the woods about 15 minute walk away from the Belovich Chapel. Next to the well there is a rain shelter, benches and a fireplace. The Őzkút was occupied in the 1920s, the plaster relief depicting roe deers was also made at that time. Before the World War II. a small shelter stood next to the spring and the Őzkút was a popular excursion destination for the people of Kőszeg. After the construction of the "Iron Curtain" the spring was located on the border strip, so before 1990 only the forest workers and the border guards, who worked in that area could visit it. The water of the well flows into the Répce, while the streams of the Kőszeg Mountains are received by the Gyöngyös.
3. Öreg eperfa GPS: 47.409054 / 16.586273
A falu határában lévő több száz éves különleges eperfa csalogatja az Ólmodon kirándulni vágyókat. Megifjult bokornyi hajtások sarjadnak többágú, néhol odvas törzséből. Termése ugyan már évek óta nincs, de tavasszal, virágzáskor csodaszép! Törzs átmérője kb.3,7 m. Valószínűsíthetően 100 évnél idősebb korú fa. Az idősebbek úgy emlékeznek, hogy az utat régen váltva fehér és fekete eperfák szegélyezték. Az ókori legenda, Pyramus és Thisbe szerelmesek tragikus legendája, magáról az eperfa színéről is méltó történet mesél a tövébe letelepülők számára: „Annak a fának most, vérrel telehintve, / gyümölcse elfeketül, s a gyökér, melyhez behatolt a sötét vér, / bíborosult színnel tarkázza a fenti gyümölcsöt” (Devecseri Gábor fordítása). Vajon milyen színű volt - és lehet még - a termése az Ólmodi öreg eperfának, ha idővel lesznek társai?
