Burgenland long-distance hiking trail
The route between Rohonc and Léka, which is worth a detour to Írottkő.
The Austrian Long Distance Hiking Trail 07 (Österreichischer Weitwanderweg 07) is one of the ten largest long-distance hiking trails in Austria, starting from Upper Austria and reaching Bad Radkersburg in south-eastern Styria. One of its branching routes is the Burgenland Weitwanderweg 07 (Burgenland Weitwanderweg), the section between Léka and Rohonc that leads through the Nature Park. The route includes: Rohonc bathing lake and bird tower, we can reach the Peak of Írottkő with a short detour to the right, for which the wonderful panorama compensates, and then we head back to Passhöhe, but before that we turn right on Route 07. From the Margaret Lookout (Margarethenwarte) we can admire a beautiful panorama again and then we reach Lockahaus.
