Dear Friend! After seeing the values of the city center and the castle, we invite you to a pleasant walk, with which you can get to know the life of the people of Kőszeg and the natural beauties that surround them better. On our walk we visit the patinated but less known “Island” part of Kőszeg, the German Hóstád’, the upper town. To the south of the medieval city, surrounded by stone walls, the Hungarian lower town expanded towards Hungary, while to the north, towards Vienna, the German upper town. Here, the streets extending organically to the city center, towards Vienna, the special parks and groves that are narrowing and opening into the valley of the Gyöngyös brook, promise a relaxing and varied walk.
