Mountains of Culture Educational Trail
It presents the 3000-year-old culture of the area around St. Vid Mountain in different archaeological eras.
One of the most popular excursion destinations in the Mountains of Kőszeg is the chapel and its surroundings at the top of the 589-meter St. Vid Hill. The mountain is considered one of the most famous archaeological sites in Central Europe. The study trail presents the cultures of different peoples living on the hill from the Neolithic to the New Age in different archeological eras.
Its location: From the border of the village Velem along the yellow alpannonia® sign, a steep path leads to the chapel of St. Vid.
